Silk is less porous than other materials. Moisture therefore has less chance of seeping into the fabric. So when you use a silk headband, your hair products will not be absorbed and will continue to work throughout.
Mulberry silk to fight frizz, tangles, and split ends
Constant friction between hair and rough fabrics leads to brittle strands and frizz.
Thanks to its softness, a mulberry silk headband reduces this abrasion. The hair will therefore not cling to the fabric and will thus be protected against frizz, knots and split ends.
